Enjoy the beauty of nature. Walk the trails. Sit in solitude and write. Using prompts from poets and novelists whose work has been influenced by the landscape and grandeur of nature, we’ll spend time indoors and outdoors writing our own stories and reflections. This workshop will focus on using nature as a path to self-reflection, creative work, and helping understand our place in the world. We will have the use of the Institute’s retreat house for the day with time for sharing our work aloud.

Light refreshments, coffee, and tea are provided.

What to bring: A packed lunch. Your favorite writing tools.

Taught by Susan G. Weidener. Susan is the author of memoirs and novels. A former journalist with The Philadelphia Inquirer, Susan started the Women’s Writing Circle as a place for women to share their voices and their stories.

Cost: $40. Cash or check made out to Susan Weidener no later than April 8. Check may be mailed to 75 Jennifer Drive, Chester Springs, PA 19425. A portion of your workshop fee will go toward the Great Marsh Institute, a 700-acre periglacial marsh in beautiful Chester County just off Route 401 and 4.5 miles from Ludwigs Corner.
